There is a difference between a beehive and a bee swarm. If you have noticed an influx of bees on your property, you most likely have one or the other. A swarm is a group of bees that are located around their queen. A swarm usually takes place under eaves or fascia or in trees. A hive is something totally different. With a hive you have an established bee colony within your property. There will be honey comb inside the walls/eaves as well as honey. Hives are often located inside walls, attics, trees or water boxes.
At Your Riverside Beekeeper, we can help you remove the honey bees from your property. We take care of swarms and hives, with no chemical pesticides. We do not kill the honeybees. We use our removal services so the bees can continue to thrive and pollinate, which is needed in the environment.
Once the bees are removed, we offer repair service to ensure that your home is back to normal. The honeybees can leave behind quite a mess due to the sticky consistency of honey. This will have to be cleaned up, with portions of the property possibly cut out. You want to see all of the honeycomb removed so that bees are not drawn to the area. Honeybees have a keen sense of smell and will congregate where a hive used to be, even if the bees are long gone. By removing the entirety of the hive and associated honey, the threat of more bees in the future is eliminated.
In less than two hours after arrival, Dave and Clint had remove the double bee sources (bumble bee hive coupled with honey bees buzzing around an old hive that wasn't fully removed), repaired, sealed and finished the job. He even asked if I'd like him to prime the new wood so it wouldn't be obvious. Professional, prompt and knowledgeable. Would recommend to a friend.

Dave and his crew are awesome! My neighbor noticed a swarm of bees on our home a few days ago. I called Dave and he immediately called me back and set up an appointment the next morning to come by and assess the situation. After checking things out and using his thermal camera, he let us know that the bees had been there a while and he would be able remove them the following morning. Turns out the bees (5-10,000 of them) had been there over six months! It was a bigger problem than we had anticipated but Dave and his guys took care of it no problem. They were honest, efficient and professional. Super easy to work with. I hope I never have this issue again but I know who to call if I ever do.
